December Showtime 2018 Wrap Up

It’s the most wonderful time of year. The lights are up, presents are wrapped, and our Milliken Showroom emanates warmth and cheer. This month, we closed out our year with showings and meetings in our winter-holiday Showtime showroom. While the October High Point Market provided insight into the latest styles and trends, December Showtime showed us what the market is really wishing for this year.

Innovation Under the Tree

We’re focused on the future.  At December Showtime, we offered a sneak peek into the new texture and pattern offerings for the June line. Milliken’s fiber-forward natural story captured the attention of December Showtime visitors, who responded to the uniqueness of the BREATHE™ by Milliken Collection’s sustainable performance. As the first manufacturer to market with sustainable performance on natural fibers, Milliken Specialty Interiors is a trusted innovator in the market. While traditional performance fabrics employ a water-repellent finish, the BREATHE by Milliken collection is engineered with natural fibers to withstand every day wear and tear. Additionally, the collection’s cleanable cotton and cotton/linens provide customers with the elegance they desire as well as the performance they need.

The Gift of Sustainability

As trends shift, customers are more conscious of the effects consumer products have on the environment. We’re familiar with plastic bottles pictured on the sides of recycle bins, but what about on furniture and fabric?

The BREATHE by Milliken collection uses REPREVE® certified recycled polyester yarns that are made from recycled plastic bottles. Knowing the bottle counts per yard or in a piece of furniture resonates more with customers making recycled content very tangible.  Offering fabrics with REPREVE® yarn and a plant-based water repellent supports our commitment to providing sustainable and creative solutions.

A BREATHE™ Story Celebration

December Showtime provided an opportunity to connect with customers and share our passion for developing fabrics that promote an improved home and planet. With minimal chemistry and plant-based water repellent, the collection is simultaneously durable and easy to clean as well as elegant and eco-friendly – a collection worth celebrating. Happy holidays! We’re looking forward to the celebration continuing into 2019.
