Fabrics & Furniture with Purpose

Reuse, recycle and recover

Our showroom not only tells the Milliken story but features some vintage pieces of furniture with history from the Milliken archives.  These flare-back chairs are a great example that were once found in our Milliken Guesthouse.  They were given new life with Breathe by Milliken Amalfi in bleach. When paired with the right fabric, some furniture frames never go out of style.

The Knoll bench and chairs from the New York office were also reupholstered for the showroom.  The bench is now covered in Textured Blush with Pewter trim and the chairs feature Luxe Ink.  We do have a mixture of new and old pieces in the showroom that have been recovered.  The Coalesse club lounge chairs (pictured below) at the entrance have our Breathe Herringbone pattern while the Hickory Chair desk chair up front is reupholstered in Luxe Platinum.

American-Made Excellence

As an American textile company, we set out to select American-made furniture for the showroom.  Upholstered pieces were easier to locate but finding occasional tables especially with metal details made in the US was a challenge.  So, we are proud to collaborate with Charleston Forge, a furniture company that produces all their products in the US.

Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Charleston Forge celebrates the deep-rooted traditions and dedication of the Western North Carolina furniture industry. We are delighted to display six pieces of Charleston Forge hand-crafted furniture in the Milliken showroom. The warehouse ottoman by Charleston Forge is pictured below upholstered in Breathe by Milliken Burlap Bleach.
